How to join Take a Portal to the Race of Mount Hyjal from Stormwind, Orgrimmar, or Shattrath Talk to the Hyjal Race Instructor near the start Register for the race (party/group leaders can bring their group — including bots) Race starts when at least 3 racers are registered (up to 25) 60-second countdown, then GO While the event is live, Hyjal is unlocked for racers (no “No Man’s Land” kick), and dueling is disabled in the zone. The course A long mounted ribbon through Mount Hyjal — stay on the marked track. Mid-race you’ll see your live position on screen when your place changes. Hazards & help Angry Spectators — stealthed racers along the route who root, slow, poly, and more if you get too close Flame jets — timed fire corridors; dodge or take heavy damage Off-track Fear — leave the ribbon and you’ll get feared; after it ends you have 10 seconds to remount and get back on track Speed buff chests along the course — grab them for a boost Friendly Winter Revelers cheer you on from the sidelines Rewards (gold) 1st place: 100 gold 2nd place: 70 gold 3rd place: 50 gold Everyone else who finished: 20 gold Check Race Rewards and today’s winners anytime on the Instructor. Finish Cross the finish line at the Referee. Winner gets a shout, fireworks, victory music, and portals back to the cities behind the finish chairs.
